This week we focus on the Progressive Era, a period from roughly 1890-1920 in which ordinary Americans (eventually political leaders) tried to reform and change American society in virtually every aspect. There were four key goals of this movement, and women — though they did not they have the right to vote — were leading the effort to make these changes.
